I could tell you that I'm a word nerd, marketing strategist, and a social media influencer but let's be real...
Let's get a little personal here.
It's 2015. I'm about to graduate high school and before college in the Fall, I met someone special that summer.
Together, we decided to do something that now looking back... Was kind of insane.
We made a pact to create a feature-length film together. WILD looking back...
But I've been OBSESSED with storytelling and movies since I was a little girl, so this "crazy" dream was something I was determined to make a reality no matter what. We all get one life. Why waste it not doing something you love? (I have "Don't dream it, be it." tattooed on my wrist if that says anything.)
That summer after graduation we wrote a script, assembled a cast, secured a location, scheduled a crew, and independently raised $12,314 dollars online to make our first scary movie. (I even landed U.S. distribution due to my cold email outreach skills.)
Little did I know, this was the appetizer to my main course: a lifelong love affair with writing and marketing.
Fast forward to December of 2019. I graduate college with a Bachelor's in Mass Communications and Electronic Media. 2020 sees me diving headfirst into my first corporate gig as a marketing copywriter. Soon, it all clicked...
My past experiences, my passion, my skills - they all smushed into this beautiful 'aha!' moment.
Copywriting and digital marketing is exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life. You mean I have the power to make a positive difference in people's lives through my content? My words? My ideas?
That's the greatest gift of all.
